Draft for review. This document is being finalized before public launch and legal review.

Seel Internal Translator ("we", "us") provides live bilingual subtitles and summaries for meetings. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.

What we collect

Service providers who process meeting data

We use third-party processors to deliver the service. Meeting content passes through them:

ProviderPurposeData
GoogleSign-inEmail, name, account ID
Recall.aiJoining online meetings; recordingMeeting audio, video, transcript (online meetings only)
SpeechmaticsSpeech-to-textMeeting audio
OpenRouter / model providersTranslation and summariesTranscript text

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

By default we retain your meetings — transcripts, summaries, and (for online meetings) recordings — indefinitely, so you can return to them later.

You are in control. From your dashboard you can permanently delete any meeting at any time. Deleting a meeting removes its transcript and summary from our systems; for online meetings it also deletes the associated recording held by our meeting infrastructure provider. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you delete your account, we delete the meetings associated with it.

Meetings with other participants

Meetings often include people other than the account holder, including guests from other organizations. If you use Seel Internal Translator in a meeting, you are responsible for informing the other participants that the meeting is being transcribed and, where your local law requires it, obtaining their consent. When our assistant joins an online meeting, the meeting host must admit it, which serves as a visible signal that the assistant is present.

If you were recorded in a meeting but do not have a Seel Internal Translator account, you can still ask us to delete the content that relates to you. Email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the meeting (for example the date, time, and organizer). We may ask you for information to verify your identity and your presence in that meeting before acting, so that we do not disclose or delete a meeting on someone else's say-so.

How we use the data

We use meeting data only to provide the service to you — producing live subtitles, transcripts, and summaries, and showing you your meeting history. We do not sell your data. We do not use your meeting content to train our own models. Our processors (listed above) handle your content only to perform their function for us; their own use of data is governed by their respective terms, and where they offer an option not to use customer data for model training, we select it.

Where your data is processed

Seel Internal Translator and its processors (Google, Recall.ai, Speechmatics, and our model providers) operate primarily in the United States. If you or other participants are located elsewhere — for example in China or the European Union — your meeting content is transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Seel Internal Translator you understand that this cross-border transfer takes place.

How we protect your data

We protect your data in transit and at rest: connections to Seel Internal Translator use TLS encryption, stored transcripts and account data are held on access-controlled systems, and access is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can reach it.

Your rights

You can access your meetings and delete them at any time from your dashboard. For any other request regarding your data, contact us at the address below.
